Questions
- How long do I earn on each referral?
- 6 months from their first payment, for as long as they stay subscribed. If they cancel, commission stops with them.
- What does a merchant get for using my link?
- They get a 30-day free trial and 25% off their first month, applied automatically when they sign up. There is no code to hand out, so nothing can end up on a coupon site or be used by someone who never came through you. The discount applies to monthly plans — annual already carries two months free and is not discounted further.
- What is the commission actually calculated on?
- What the merchant pays us, not the list price. A discounted first month pays commission on the discounted amount — you are never paid on money we did not collect.
- When do I get paid?
- Monthly, once your balance passes $50. Below that it rolls over rather than being lost.
- Can I refer merchants outside Shopify?
- Not yet — Aplon connects to Shopify stores, so a referral needs one. Other platforms are on the roadmap.
- Do you approve everyone?
- No. We review each application against the audience you describe. Keeping the programme small is what lets us pay the rates above.
